Delivery and dispatch (what's the difference???)

Dispatch date is when your order is sent to our delivery partner or dispatched directly from our supplier. This is not the date it arrives to your door. The estimated dispatch date can be found next to each product on the housecosy website. Additional information on our delivery process and how long after dispatch you should expect delivery can be found below.

Can I choose a specific day for delivery at checkout?

Our large 2 man deliveries are handed over to our specialist home delivery carrier once your order is confirmed. The team will reach out when goods are handed over by housecosy to arrange a convenient delivery day (and 3 hour time window if applicable). We don't offer a nominated day delivery but we do confirm all large 2 man shipments before delivery to ensure your availability. If the proposed date is not accepted our friendly delivery team will simply propose a new date once your area's new route has been planned in.

48hr dispatched items

Quick dispatch (48 hour dispatch) items are dispatched between Monday-Friday. 

Made to order product 

Some of our product is made to order or we allow you to pre order the product before the stock arrives in our warehouse, which is why you may have to wait a little longer for some pieces (but it’s worth it… trust us!). Our dispatch dates are therefore estimates and can be subject to delays. Please be aware of this if you are working to a time scale. We cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred due to delayed projects.

Delivery charges

We offer FREE UK delivery* on all orders (yep.. you read correctly!!) and aim to deliver in no more than 10 days from the estimated dispatch date given (although usually much sooner.)

*Northern Ireland and Scottish Isles will incur additional charges, please contact before order and a member of the team will advise. 


The size and weight of your order will determine the carrier we use to ship out your order. Our deliveries will be via courier or directly dispatched from our suppliers and delivered through a parcel network.

For smaller items we will use our parcel network provider where this is deemed more suitable.

Where we offer our standard 1 or 2 man service over the threshold for larger items, please note, packaging will not be taken away. Our delivery partners will contact you to arrange a delivery date.

For heavy furniture (e.g. Extending Dining Tables, ready assembled sideboards), deliveries above the second floor are dependent on access to a lift and an additional charge. Please notify us beforehand. 

Please remember that it's your responsibility to check that the items will fit through doors and staircases in their packaging before you place your order.

Grouped delivery

We get it, everyone is busy! Wherever possible we will group your order, so that all the items arrive on the same day, to make receiving your order more convenient. Please note this can only be arranged if;

  • all products can be sent with the same carrier
  • If the difference in lead times isn’t too large
